Prof Peter Gammon

University of Warwick Lead

Prof Peter Gammon is Professor of Power Electronic Devices at the University of Warwick, focusing on silicon carbide (SiC) electronic devices. He leads a team of twelve researchers dedicated to reducing the cost of automotive SiC chips and expanding their applications to sectors like space, data centres, solar power, and the grid. His team’s expertise spans the entire supply chain, including device design, materials growth, fabrication, and reliability.

As a former Royal Academy of Engineering research fellow and Principal Investigator on multiple major projects, Prof Gammon has authored over 100 publications and three patents, and he currently leads device development and commercialisation efforts in the REWIRE project at Warwick.
