Prof Martin Kuball, University of Bristol
Academic Director and Project Lead
Prof Martin Kuball holds the Royal Academy of Engineering Chair in Emerging Technologies and is a Fellow of several prestigious organisations, including IEEE and the Royal Society. He serves as Academic Director and Project Lead for REWIRE and leads the Center for Device Thermography and Reliability (CDTR), focusing on enhancing the thermal management and reliability of innovative devices in collaboration with industry and academia.
Martin’s research has pioneered techniques for measuring thermal and electrical conductivity in wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconductor devices, which are now widely adopted in both sectors.
Additionally, Martin leads major research initiatives such as the EPSRC Programme Grants GaN-DaME and ULTRAlGaN, and he co-founded TherMap Solutions, a company specialising in accurate thermal conductivity measurement tools.
